Fight with Malaria!!
Dear Friend Namaste!
RSKS India Family Wishes you A Happy Giving-Tuesday !!
We Have Been Getting your Valuable Generous support through GlobalGiving and we are Thankful to you from the Core of our Heart.
We see the effects with the change in climate very soon. With the change in climate threat of mosquitoes is increased as the surroundings become feasible for mosquitoes. Everywhere whether it is urban area or rural one, threat of mosquitoes is increasing day-by-day. Mosquitoes cause several diseases as dengue, malaria, etc. Most of the people are not aware of diseases caused by mosquitoes due to which they become victim of dangerous diseases as dengue, malaria, etc. and in the lack of appropriate treatment they die of the disease.
Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan organizes awareness programs to make people aware of mosquitoe caused diseases. Under the project, in this session, RSKS organized an awareness program in the distant slum of the city. The slum was most affected by mosquitoes and maximum residents were not aware of the issue. RSKS made the localites aware of the problem through social mapping and got them informed about mosquito prone diseases.
Social mapping made it easy for a common cititzen to understand the diseases caused by mosquitoes and their ways of remedies. At the completion of the program, a cleanliness campaign was held in the slum by RSKS with the support of the localites in whcih we made the surroundings clean as drainage, removed contaminated and stagnated water, removed garbage from the streets and made the entire locality neat and clean. Now, the slum has become absolutely clean and hygenic.
The local women were also contributed in the cleanliness campaign. Our activist had conversation with one of the women who told us the situation of the slum which is mentioned here in her own words..........
A Beneficiary's View:- My name is Kali and my age is 44 years. I lived a nomadic life completely. I have beeen living in the slum for last one year. Last year, a loclaited died of dengue, then to the localites are not aware of the situation. Now, RSKS made us understoon about mosquito prone diseases and their remedies through social mapping. It was the first time when I learn social mapping and I can say it is a good experience. I give thank to RSKS and the donors for their efforts.
