Now-a-days our environment is getting polluted rapidly and the major reason of it is all over spread waste and garbage that invites mosquitoes . Such surroundings are favourable for mosquitoes to increase in numbers. Mosquito causes several diseases among which malaria, dengue are major. We often see and hear that human beings die of malaria or dengue. The slums are most affected regions as the residents of slums are not so much aware of mosquito prone diseases.
Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan identified mosquitoes affected regions and organized awareness workshops in the regions. In the series, RSKS organized an awareness workshop in a distant slum of the city and distributed 30 mosquito nets. In the workshop all the localites were invited and communicated the information about the diseases caused by mosquitoes with the localites and suggested them the ways to keep safe from the diseases. All the localites attended the workshop and listened our activists carefully.
A senior resident Mr. Guljarilal of the locality told us that a young boys was died of dengue last year. Earlier the residents didn't aware of the diseases and didn't have the resources to keep themselves safe from mosquitoes. But, now using the mosquito nets, they may have sound sleed without any fear of mosquitoes. All localites thanked RSKS to make them aware of the diseases and the senior resident thanked RSKS and GlobalGiving Foundation to get them mosquito nets.
The support and contribution of GlobalGiving Foundation in the project “Kill Malaria, Save Human Life” is commendable! And the contribution of Donors deserves praise together. Awareness, Cleanliness & Prevention of disease programe successfully with the help of the donors!!
