We have been getting your valuable generous support through GlobalGiving and we are thankful to you from the core of our heart.
Today, several mosquito prone dangerous diseases spread everywhere in our surroundings among which malaria, dengue are deadly diseases. In the lack of awareness and knowledge, people live in slums get infected from such diseases very often. In slum areas, heap of garbage and stagnated water provide feasible conditions for the growth of mosquitoes and the localites keep unaware from the fact.
Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan, with the financial support of GlobalGiving Foundation, organized an awareness program in the slum area of the city in whcih all the slum dwellers took participate. In the awareness program, we made people aware of diseases caused by mosquitoes and the precautions to be taken. The community attended the program and listened our activists carefully and supported the program.
Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan also organized a cleanliness campaign in the slum area in which people participated ardently and contributed. The organization with the support of localites made the surroundings clean by removing heap of garbage, making taps and handpumps clean, filled the pots of stagnated water, spraying DDT in drains and ponds. All the localites supported the cleanliness program and took oath not to make surroundings dirty and unhealthy and to keep it neat and clean.
Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan took an initiative to conduct health mapping in order to provide information to people about mosquito prone diseases. The local community took particiated in the health mapping and got aware of mosquito prone diseases along with the remedy to be safe from the diseases.
