Help Renovate a Kids' Community Center in Turkey

We have been hard at work trying to find new ways to get the word out about our project.  We have reached out to various networks, both in Turkey and the US, trying to determine new strategies.  Sadly, our efforts have not yielded strong results, and we need your help to get the word out about this incredibly valuable project.  

The kids that come to our activity locations primarily come from disadvantaged backgrounds, with large family sizes, low socioeconomic levels, low educational attainment levels, and a struggling public education.  Our locations are a beacon of light in their lives; a stark contrast to their daily lives; colorful, inspiring places where they can be nurtured and encouraged by our rich array of education programs and by their interaction with the big brothers and sisters that are our volunteers.

However, with 72 locations throughout the country (making us the most widespread educational organizaiton after the Ministry of Education), we struggle to find the resources to maintain our locations.  This project is important in that it will provide essential resources to provide a quality educational experience for our kids.

Our community center project continues to struggle, as our outreach efforts have yielded insufficient results.  Though we have done a series of email blasts and even introduced the project to a handful of corporate audiences, donations are slow.

Yet, we are eager to make this project work and bring new life to the Community Center in Adana.  Currently, we are working locally, in and around the center's immediate communities, to see if we can find support from our neighbors.

Though donations have been slow this first year, we are not giving up and greatly appreciate all of your support thus far.

Together, we still believe that we can bring this community center back to life.  From our end, we will be working hard to find the best places to reach out to and get more and more people behind this project.
