At Khwela Womxn we aim to create truly transformational experiences for young womxn to succeed, our Sisterhood Circles allows womxn to share experiences with like-minded womxn and gain confidence, resilience and a feeling of freedom. Khwela Womxn believes that self-empowered womxn are change agents for their communities. We help womxn by equipping them with skills & access to safe peer-mentorship spaces, so they can transform their mindsets & uplift themselves personally & professionally.
Unemployment in South Africa is extremely high, especially with young women currently at 41.2%. Social mobility is low as education in SA does not guarantee financial sustainability in the future, and access to opportunities, support, & a growth mindset is a challenge for many women in order to climb & succeed personally/ professionally. When we interviewed young women, we realised they feel isolated. They dont have ACCESS to learning and opportunities, they lacked SUPPORT and GROWTH MINDSET.
SUPPORT - Our circle is a space for peer-mentorship, it allows attendees a chance to experience share, reflect, adjust & provide them with necessary support from a group of like-minded womxn, assisting with confidence & resilience ACCESS - Alora is a mentorbot that guides young womxn through a series of learnings and opportunities, designed to assist them on their journey to self-empowerment GROWTH - a transformational learning journey including topics on growth mindset, showing up, GRIT, etc
We believe womxn who are self-empowered will accept the call to adventure and climb to achieve personal success. We will help womxn develop the mindset of a great leader. Womxn feel more confident and equipped with the right tools to add to their personal transformation and leadership toolkit. They feel confident and assertive, how to raise their hand and bring up problems and then solve problems. Once they are self-empowered they empower other womxn in their community to climb & rise with them
