Dear GlobalGiving Friends,
Happy New School Year!
We are happy to see the students from Khe Sanh Primary School going back to school, enjoying their classes and the new library.
This year, GCSF is celebrating its 20th Anniversary. To recognize the passion and contribution of the young leader’s òf the Khe Sanh Library project, GCSF awarded Victoria and John Bergstrom the GCSF “Young Ambassador” Award. These two have contributed significantly their time and effort into helping to raise the funds for the library project. This is a great example of friends helping friends.
“I’m very impressed with the two youths from the Bergstrom family. At their age, I didn’t have such leadership and passion. Our students looked at them and felt they should be trying more. Victoria and John are setting the good example to my students”, said Mr. Tuan, Deputy Principal of the School.
Friends, you and your children can do more to provide education opportunities for the poor young students in the mountainous area in Khe Sanh. Let the young generation prove that they are capable of taking more responsibility and leadership.
We would again like to thank you all for your wonderful contribution to bring accessibility of books to the disadvantaged community. We also look forward to your further assistance to expanding the benefit of book reading and knowledge spreading to nearby Pa Nho village where 120 more tribal young children are longing for an equal opportunity.
Sincerely,
Nguyen Xuan Tam and the GCSF team in Vietnam
