We are raising money to fund scholarships for Rising Stars, the young women from underprivileged communities in Asia who Wedu supports through educational funding and mentorship. 100% of the funds we receive go to funding university and leadership development for the 362 women Wedu currently supports. In many countries in Asia, it takes a community to send a young woman to university. The goal of this campaign is to raise money for scholarships for at least 4 of our Rising Stars to attend university. Our Rising Stars are passionate, committed, aspiring young women from underprivileged backgrounds, many of whom face enormous barriers to higher education, often because of inadequate financial support.
This project will cover costs for at least 4 Rising Stars to attend university and raise global awareness about the importance of female leadership and educational opportunities for women. Join the movement!
Our Rising Stars are women who have demonstrated leadership qualities and aspirations to bring social change. As they graduate and become leaders within their communities, they are encouraged to give back by becoming mentors to the next generation of Rising Stars and continuing the cycle of mentorship. At Wedu, we believe that investment in women's leadership not only empowers women, but also has a multiplier effect on improving the development of communities and countries as a whole.
