Many teenage girls in Wakiso District, Uganda miss school because they cannot afford menstrual products. This project will provide 300 girls with reusable sanitary pads and menstrual health education, helping them stay in school, improve their health, and achieve their full potential.
Many teenage girls in Wakiso District cannot afford sanitary pads and lack access to menstrual health education. As a result, they miss school during their menstrual periods, fall behind in their studies, and face embarrassment, stigma, and reduced opportunities to reach their full potential.
This project will provide 300 teenage girls with reusable sanitary pad kits and menstrual health education. By improving access to menstrual hygiene products and knowledge, girls will attend school more regularly, participate confidently in class, and improve their educational outcomes.
The project will reduce school absenteeism among girls, improve menstrual health and confidence, and increase educational attainment. In the long term, educated girls are more likely to complete school, access better opportunities, and contribute positively to their communities.
