During the heart fo the COVID-19 crisis, the following institutions benefited from the donation of hand washing materials needed to keep the virus at bay.
Although the impact of the virus wasn't as drastic in Cameroon as in other parts of the world, we strongly believe that these equipment including facial masks that the NDES foundation distributed to these organisations was very useful in keeping the staff and children of these orphanages safe.
It is therefore with great delight that we report that no member of this institution was infected with the virus. These equipment are still currently being used and the staff are continually encouraging the children about the importance of washing thier hands not only to avoid infection from the corona virus but also against other tropical disease such as typhoid, cholera , dysentery that are always very prevalent during the raining season in Cameroon.
Since regular hand washing is a preventive measure against many diseases, we are delighted to know that these equipments will still be useful even after the corona virus epidemic has passed. Thanks again for your generosity.
