1. Status
On December 21, 2021, the number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 in South Korea exceeded 570,000 people.
Last week, there were 7,850 confirmed cases per day, the highest number since counting.
In the last report, I was reported that there were 1,784 confirmed cases per day. This time, the number of confirmed cases is 4.4 times the last time.
2. Solution
The purpose of this project is to support medical staff.
So far, we have provided intensive support to Seoul National University Hospital.
However, this time, KASC expandd the target area and applied to the necessary places first.
In the existing Seoul area, it was judged that all support was rushing in as there were many confirmed cases.
So KASC made contact with various.
And it was donated to Wonju Severance Christian Hospital.
Wonju is the place with the most daily confirmed cases in Gangwon-do.
Wonju Severance Christian Hospital started operating 4 single-person negative pressure isolation wards on February 23, 2020, and currently operates a total of 13 beds in 56 wards, 8 beds, and 5 beds in the emergency intensive care unit (EICU).
Wonju Severance Christian Hospital is at the forefront of responding to COVID-19.
The hospital is struggling to respond to COVID-19, and Gangwon-do also expressed gratitude with a separate award.
Those expenses will be used for medical staff in relation to the corona virus.
This support was centered on urgency.
3. Summary of results;
Unlike before, this support is not a specific project (eg medical masks, self-isolation, screening stations, etc.).
It will be determined and used by the hospital in an emergency related to COVDI-19.
