This project provides military daughters with self-esteem and leadership skills during a week-long soccer academy. Each girl creates a leadership service idea that she will take back to her community.
The teen years can be hard, and military daughters have the added stress of pro-longed absence of a parent, serving our country. The leadership academy provides these teens with a supportive community where they are challenged, build skills, and grow into confident, strong young women, who are eager to be leaders of positive change. As one past participant, Krysta, said: aThis camp has affected me. I feel confident and strong. I am a leader. I found my voice and I pledge to choose to matter.a
At the Academy, the girls participate in soccer and leadership activities focused on positive life lessons. They're challenged to develop a service project to implement back at home. Our staff and mentors follow up to help with project completion.
Teen girls all have the ability to lead, they just may not realize it yet! We help unlock their potential for doing great deeds. Their service projects aim to inspire others through positive change in their communities. "Live. Lead. Pass it on!"
