Reaching new heights of Community Development

Dear Friends of Anudip,

We are privileged to share glimpses of Anudip’s new initiatives, measurable outputs, fruitful collaborations, expansions and other major accomplishments that connect the organization’s mission of serving underprivileged young people with gainful employment thus enabling lifelong sustainability. 

New associations:

Citi Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Citi group that works to promote economic progress and improve lives of people in low-income communities around the world, will support Anudip to empower marginalized youth from the urban and peri-urban communities in Indian states of Tamil Nadu, West Bengal and Maharashtra with  digital employment skills and scalable livelihood opportunities.

Cognizant Foundation, the corporate social responsibility arm of Cognizant Technology Solutions, has associated with Anudip to train vulnerable youth from urban and peri-urban communities of Hooghly district, West Bengal, for conducting its unique placement linked digital livelihood program for 250 women and youth. Anudip’s partnership with Cognizant Foundation will deliver a skilled workforce that allows economic progress, decent work and social development of unemployed youth.

HSBC Skills for Life, with an aim to reach new communities for implementing vocational training, has awarded a competitive grant to Anudip after a rigorous screening process to deliver skill enhancement training in Andhra Pradesh state in India for 500 marginalized youth. Economic growth, providing sustainable job opportunities in new economy jobs. 

Expansion:

With an aim to accomplish its donors’ commitment, Anudip is marking its presence in new geographies and touching many lives all over India. With its roots in eastern India, Anudip is now focusing on other parts of India and it has started operations in Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu.

 

Social Recognition:

India CSR Summit 2017-

NGOBOX, the largest development sector platform in India hosted its 4th annual flagship event ‘India CSR Summit and Exhibition 2017’, the country’s premier Corporate Social Responsibility conference at Gurugram, Haryana in September 2017, convening thought leaders, advisory organizations, CSR think tanks, social reformers and government agencies. Anudip Foundation, with a decade rick track record of working in the livelihood and skill development sector marked its presence in the conference to enhance its brand visibility, effectively network with donors and CSR and increase outreach. Anudip through its well-crafted stall, display boards, reading materials and video features demonstrated “how technology is leveraged to create digital livelihoods at scale, while uplifting society and executing CSR projects in a systematic and planned way”. Anudip with its innovative technology-driven livelihood programs and structured partnerships can implement many more CSR activities to facilitate impactful skills and foster employment opportunities for economic growth in the society.

Anudip CEO Conferred the Distinguished Alumnus Award from IIT Kharagpur

Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, one of the most prestigious engineering and technology institutions of the world commenced its 63rd convocation in August 2017 and announced the recipients of the year’s “Distinguished Alumnus Award” to Dipak Basu, CEO, Anudip Foundation, a holder of a BSc Honors in Physics and B.Tech in Electronics & Communications Engineering from IIT KGP, for spending a lifetime in employing technology in humanitarian missions worldwide.
