Dear Friends,
As I sum our efforts of last three months into a report, I am very pleased to share with you our placement numbers and recognitions received during this period.
In its endeavor to provide sustainable livelihood opportunities, Anudip has trained 10,033 and placed 7,095 students in IT/ITeS jobs in 2015-16. With two more quarters remaining, Anudip aims to train and place more students keeping in mind its target numbers and deliverables for this financial year.
The word “job opportunity” is the very essence and backbone of a country’s financial standing. Larger the number of jobs created for the masses the better the chance for the country’s holistic development. Even though jobs might be available it is the skills sets that needs to be matched to attain the job. This is where a large number of youth from marginalized communities with poor education face hindrance.
Anudip’s business model has been developed keeping these specific problems faced by the impoverished communities and help them overcome those with the help of our programs. Anudip runs several digital livelihood programs to help students from diverse backgrounds to get intensive training in computer basics, internet, digital literacy, financial literacy, English comprehension and workplace readiness. The programs are concluded with job placement services to graduating students in IT/ITeS services across different sectors.
Rewards and Recognitions
Not only did this year start with a great expansion plan but we were also recognized for our efforts by several outfits like Indians for Collective Action (ICA), California; and Forbes India. Forbes India Magazine article acknowledges Anudip Foundation and its sister company iMerit Technology Services as one the five start-ups which solves social problems in India.
Ms. Radha and Mr. Dipak, Founders of Anudip Foundation have been honored by ICA at the India Community Center, for their outstanding contribution to improve livelihoods of underprivileged youth and women through training and upskilling in information technology and entrepreneurship. Their dedication and efforts to support hundreds of thousands of needy youth with sustainable livelihood opportunities have been recognized and acknowledged.
Acknowledgement
As Anudip completes nine years into its program operations, we are humbled with the response and faith that has been bestowed upon us. From starting with just few hundred students we have now reached 55,000 students who have been trained in Anudip. This would not have been possible without the support and help from all our supporters, so thank you so much for believing in us and our abilities.
