As we bid farewell to 2018, Anudip could not have hoped for a better recognition for its performance in the field of Innovation on Skill Development - as a winner of Skoch Award.
Anudip transforms lives! It creates aspirational livelihoods through digital inclusion and technology driven programs for career aspirants in emerging economies. It has been empowering tens of thousands of young people from difficult backgrounds, training them in professional skills since 2007. Skoch Award acknowledges Anudip's programs as the top skill development projects in India for empowering youth with digital skills.
Creating opportunities and investing in women
Anudip invests deeply in opportunities for women to acquire meaningful skills that will help them build not only a secure future but also negotiate multiple life domains, enhance critical thinking and become economically independent. One such person to have achieved this is Moumita, a young 23 year old girl from a middle class family, of West Bengal India, who was able to achieve her goals through our digital livelihoods program.
Even as a graduate, Moumita was unable to secure a job due to her poor quality education and lack of employer specific skills. During mobilization and through orientation and counselling, Moumita enrolled for Anudip’s graphic designing course. The course has been specially designed keeping the students background in mind, which utilizes digitized content in multimedia format for effective learnings. This blended learning training methodology has provided positive results by placing higher number of students in jobs.
Moumita’s commitment to the course and mock interview preparations helped in securing graphic designer job at Adware Communication, West Bengal. Today she is earning INR 12,000 per month (USD 171) and corporate benefits such as health insurance, provident funds etc. which contributes to her holistic development.
Today not only she is able to contribute towards her family income but also participate actively within the family, communities and wider society. We have no doubt that through her she will influence her peers and put emphasis on quality education and financial independence.
