Project Report | Oct 11, 2024
Empowering trafficking survivors for a brighter future

By Sonia Agnesod | Planning, Coordination and Compliance

We are pleased to report on the work accomplished by IOM Ghana and its partners to empower survivors of trafficking with vocational skills.

With support from the IOM Global Assistance Fund and funded through USA for IOM, IOM Ghana organized a batik tie-dye workshop for survivors of trafficking in partnership with the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection’s Human Trafficking Secretariat.

The skills development workshop empowered the women through creativity and art, and encouraged the diversification of skills for income generation, contributing to their sustainable economic reintegration. The activity aimed to ensure that when the survivors reintegrate back into their societies, they have vocational knowledge to support themselves.
All our gratitude to USA for IOM supporters and to IOM Ghana and partners for their work.
