The 30th of June finalized the implementation of the second phase of the project and, with the essential support from USA for IOM, the Global Assistance Fund (GAF) identified and provided assistance to 86 eligible beneficiaries, corresponding to 42 women, 24 men, 9 girls and 11 boys.

This result is outstanding since the project aimed at assisting 15 migrants. The target was hence exceeded by supporting an extra 71 throughout the project duration, from July 2022 to end of June 2023.

 The key achievements of this project, during this phase of funding, included:

  1. provision of individualized protection and assistance services to a record number of beneficiaries given the funding received;
  2. stronger partnerships developed with other IOM global funds, such as the Emergency Victim Assistance Fund (EVA) and the Humanitarian Fund for the Assistance of Stranded migrants (HASM)) which referred eligible migrants to GAF and co-funded some of the assistance;
  3. conceptualization and implementation of the first skills training organized under GAF directly with beneficiaries, delivered by IOM Ghana and partners.

Once again, thank you for your support to this project!
