Yes, internet answers the prayers of the needy in Garram

THE INTERNET IS THE ANSWER TO THE PRAYERS OF THE PHYSICALLY CHALLENGED IN GARRAM

In Nigeria it is estimated  there are over 10 million Nigerians with some type of physical limitation or disability. What’s appalling is that the unemployment rate among people with disabilities is a shocking more than 62 percent!

At the risk of being very politically incorrect, and I apologize in advance here, is that whether you are handicapped, disabled, physically or mentally challenged, whatever you want to call it, most people in those categories can work. In my experience, most of them are desperate to work. The fact is, however, that there are too few jobs out there at the moment for anyone. Add the problems of transportation in and many people who could work don’t.

Some people of this category under consideration are confined to their beds but have limited use of their fingers. Their brains, however, worked just fine. And they can be very good with computers and internet.

In the future, if some are given the opportunity, they can purchase more computers and start their own business writing software. Eventually, they can employ a half-dozen people in their booming business.  With the help of today’s Internet, the solution to some of the problem of home bound or physically challenged people might be the Internet.

The internet is an answer to part of the unemployment problem for people with physical limitations in Garram.

The growth of the Net has provided anyone with a computer the ability to generate money and almost never leave their home. They can literally run a business with just a few pieces of equipment – their brain, a computer and perhaps a phone and that’s it. And, they can do it from anywhere as long as they have internet service, which is can be provided by generous donors these days. They are being prepared for that kind of living here in Garram Children’s School.

I want to appeal to our donors to consider the possibilities the Internet offers our needy children and continue to support our cause.
