Integral Care for 120 Children and Youth, Caracas

The high cost of living in Venezuela during the last years has resulted in an increase of children in social risk situation because the families are unable to satisfy basic needs like food, clothes and shoes, shelter and home, health and education. This reality worsen because some parents have had to emigrate to other countries looking for jobs and better incomes, living their children under the care of a third party; this fact increases the situation of vulnerability of the children, not only because of their lack of material goods but also because they lack affection because of the absence of the parents, which are responsible for their wellbeing. Given those circumstances, social organizations joint efforts to attend the needs of the children, hoping to improve their living conditions and giving them more opportunities to balance their hardships. Hogar Bambi is one of these organizations, so we continue developing actions for a comprehensive protection of the 120 children and adolescents that are in our four houses, assuring them a balanced diet, convenient medical assistance, immediate cares, sports and musical activities, psycopedagogical advice, educational support, and many more, working hard because now there are many more children between 0 and 2 years old. Because of this, the institution expresses its gratitude and strengthens its alliances with all the organizations and the people that support the daily work to assure and guarantee wellness for the children that live in Hogar Bambi.
