Ask any of our tutors and they'll tell you about the same moment. A child turns up, picks up a violin or a cello for the first time, and has absolutely no idea what to do with it. A few months later, that same child is playing in front of a room full of people, beaming.
That's what your support makes possible. Because of you, over 450 young musicians at Nucleo have an instrument of their own — and on 24th June, a lot of those instruments will be up on stage at our 13th Anniversary Concert.
It's one of our favourite nights of the year. Students from across the programme will play, some of our former students are coming back to join them, and last year's young presenter — who's now all of 10 — will be back to walk the audience through the evening.
We've put together a few clips from last year's concert, and we really hope you'll watch them. They show what we wish we could bottle: kids concentrating hard, having the time of their lives, proud of what they can do.
We'll share highlights from this year's concert soon after, so you can be part of it wherever you are. And if you're in London this June, drop us a line — we'd love to have you there in person to see it for yourself.
Thank you for putting instruments into these young hands. None of it happens without you.
