The rainwater harvesting project aims to raise $14,760 to provide safe water for hygiene and sanitation at G.S. Busogo I Secondary School and the surrounding community. So far, the campaign has raised $1, leaving $14,759 still needed, with support from 2 donors, 0 monthly donors, and 8 months remaining. The project serves a predominantly rural, low-income community where about 45% of the population is illiterate and most families depend on subsistence farming and livestock for their livelihoods. By providing a reliable source of rainwater, the project will reduce the risk of waterborne diseases, ease the burden on students who currently walk to the valley to fetch water, and improve students' health, hygiene, and learning conditions.
