Dear supporters and friends!
We hope you all enjoyed your summer break, wherever you are in the world - and that you are settling into this busy Autumn period. We have had an incredibly busy time at Inspiring Girls, so much of which is down to our important support from our wonderful GlobalGiving supporters!
We want to give you an update on some of our activities, and also let you know that we have a very exciting camapign launch on Wednesday 4th October, which runs until 18th October, called This Little Girl Is Me. First launched in 2021 across Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn, the #ThisLittleGirlIsMe campaign has reached over 47.5 million people and received immense support from influential figures such as Annie Lennox, Arianna Huffington, Sheryl Sandberg and Melinda French Gates. The impact was extraordinary, and this year, we aim to achieve even greater success.
The campaign's primary focus is to empower young girls worldwide. We're searching for extraordinary women role models within our GlobalGiving network to share their stories, advice, and experiences by highlighting the wisdom they wish they had known at a young age, we aim to inspire and uplift these young girls. If you would like to get involved or to learn more information, please head to: https://inspiring-girls.com/thislittlegirlisme for further instructions on how to get involved, we can't wait to see your inspiring posts! And don't forget to follow the hashtag to see other every day women post their heart-warming and inspiring stories.
In other news across the Inspiring Girls universe, we were delighted that our global partner, Barbie Mattel had a smash hit at the box offce with Greta Gerwig's fantastically popular Barbie movie. In the U.S, our work with Barbie's DreamGap project was showcased in theatres ahead of the movie screening with their Dream Gap film. We were very proud to demonstrate the impact of our partnership with Barbie Mattel.
Below are some updates from across our global network!
In Brazil, we took a class of young girls to a real life Babrie Dream House to play and learn from. The Dream House was set up in celebratiotn of the Babrie film in Brazil - and the girls had the very best time!
In one of our new teams, Ecuador, the Inspiring Girls team hosted a range of activities as part of their "Inspiring Summer" program, with the support of a well-known local university. They have also selected a team of four local Young Ambassadors who will support the team - we can't wait to hear the updates from them soon!
Meanwhile in Hong Kong, our local Inspiring Girls team conducted two programs for girls from ethnic minorities and refugees. They are now building new programs based on the experience they have and will focus on girls from underpriviledged backgrounds and on leadership innovation.
Lastly, in Slovakia, the local Inspiring Girls team celebrated the first year of their campaign - congratulations to IG Slovakia! During their first year in action, they have managed to reach 1,000 young people with talks in schools. Amazing results!
That's the overview from some of our teams for you - if you would like to know more or if you have questions about our work or how to become involved, please don't hesitate to reach out to us via hello@inspiring-girls.com.
Thank you once again for your constant support - your dedication to our work is testament to your belief in the importance of fostering gender equality, encouraging young girls to embrace their full potential and pursuing their passions without limits! So, a huge thank you!
Many thanks,
Kat
