Project Update
Fundraising for the project has not been smooth so far; however, we are encouraged by the important progress already achieved through the dedication of our volunteers and supporters.
The good news is that a group of talented women engineers and energy specialists in Malawi stepped forward and used their own resources, time, and expertise to mentor 50 girls through motivational talks, interactive discussions, and STEM mentorship activities. Their commitment has allowed the initiative to begin making an impact even before full project funding has been secured.
This achievement marks an important starting point for the project and demonstrates the passion and determination behind empowering girls in renewable energy and STEM-related fields.
Current Focus
While mentorship and inspiration are essential, the next phase of the project aims to provide the girls with practical, hands-on experience in solar energy and wind energy technologies. The goal is to move beyond theory and expose participants to real-world demonstrations, experiments, and technical learning activities that will strengthen their understanding and interest in renewable energy careers.
To achieve this, the project still requires support for:
Outlook
Despite the financial challenges experienced so far, we remain optimistic about the future of the initiative. We are deeply grateful for the encouragement and support received from volunteers, donors, partners, and supporters who continue to believe in the project’s mission.
Their continued support will help transform this promising beginning into a sustainable programme capable of empowering more girls with practical STEM and renewable energy skills across Malawi.
