Thanks to the support of our donors, Inside the Atrato: a Film Project, saw the light on November the 17th at Museo Nacional de Colombia, under the title ATRATO. This audiovisual proposal, directed by Fernando Arias and musicalized by Robert Lippok, was introduced to a full auditorium by Brigitte Baptiste, director of Instituto Humboldt, Mabel Torres, director of BioInnova and Charlotte Streck, director of SINFONÍA TRÓPICO and of Climate Focus.
After more than half a year of hard work campaigning, travelling, shooting, editing and composing, this outstanding piece came to life showing compelling images of two contrasting realities: the overwhelming richness and beauty of the rainforest and the environmental threats the Atrao River and the people who live along it are facing. In 2016, SINFONÍA TRÓPICO will bring ATRATO to the region where it came from, Chocó, and to other international festivals. We are very proud of the success of the evening and the great response of the audience and the press.
ATRATO's premiere was part of SINFONÍA TRÓPICO's 2015 festival, which took place in three different locations, -Museo Nacional de Colombia, FLORA ars+natura and Casa 9-69,- from 17 to 22 November in Bogotá.
Thanks for your valuable help!
