By building a community store and co-working spaces, we aim to boost the struggling economy of the rural Mexican community, La Haciendita. This project will circulate funds locally, provide jobs (in a community with high unemployment), and keep families together.
La Haciendita faces two economic challenges: high unemployment and low income to the people who are employed. The economy is a driving force for emigration. About 67% of people emigrate from Mexico to United States for economic reasons.
Building a facility to house a store and three co-working spaces will create jobs and provide space for micro-businesses to grow physically and financially. The store and micro-businesses will bring goods and services to La Haciendita at an affordable price and will eliminate the expense of traveling 45 minutes to the nearest store.
This project will boost La Haciendita's economy by keeping money local, creating jobs, and supporting micro-businesses. Co-working spaces offer entrepreneurs a platform for growth, while the store provides essential goods. By fostering economic stability, it will attract new families and build a foundation for lasting growth and self-sufficiency.
