Project moving forward in the Pandemic

By Linda Smith | EX. Director and Co-founder

Two pad types for each kit.
Two pad types for each kit.

We have adapted our projects to go forward during the Pandemic by reducting workshops and putting more effort into preparing materials for workshops.  In Feburary we held several school workshops on Hand Washing, Masks and Hygiene to help prevent the spread of COVID19. As Spring lockdowns have prevented more workshops right now, we're preparing washable sanitation pads for Infant and Mother Workshops and  Women in Disaster communities. Our goal for this summer is to make 500 Pad Kits, each kit includes 2 pads- one for heavy days and one for medium to light days (total of 1000 pads).  The absorbant materials and designs were researched for 3 months and trials were conducted on young women in the Denver area. The results were very good. Now the team is moving forward to buy the materials to make the 1000 pads this summer.
