Every Child's Chance: Inclusive Opportunity Fund

Aasra Home for Boys, located in Najafgarh. Our contributions ensure that the children at the home receive healthy and nutritious meals. The Aasra Home is one of four long-term care facilities operated by SBT, currently housing 44 boys with the speicial need.

Educational Engagement:

  • Formal Education: 33 children are attending formal schools.
  • Non-Formal Education: 6 children are participating in non-formal education programs.
  • NIOS Enrollment: 5 children are enrolled in the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS).

Recent Highlights:

  • Birthday Celebrations: Joyful birthday parties were organized for the children, celebrating their special days.
  • DCPU Visit: The District Child Protection Unit (South West) visited the center for a Management Committee meeting, ensuring proper oversight and guidance.
  • Storytelling Session: The children enjoyed a captivating storytelling session provided by Katha NGO.
  • Family Restoration: We successfully restored one child's family through the Child Welfare Committee (CWC).
  • Special Lunch: A special lunch was arranged for the children, adding an extra touch of care and joy.
  • Staff Development: 10 staff members participated in an online webinar organized by the Department of Women and Child Development (WCD), enhancing their skills and knowledge.
  • Sports Achievement: Four children with special needs took part in the BOCCE Ball Championship at the Special Olympics Bharat – Delhi.
  • Career Counseling: Childrenabove 16 years of age attended a career counseling session organized by Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), exploring future career opportunities.
