Association Nasa djeca" Zenica is planning to establish new way of informal education for children in Zenica city. Through Inclusive learning center", there will be provided quality free time and informal education for children, as very important segment for preparation for school and school performance. Center will provide support for about 200 children preschool and school age (from 3 to 12 years), including children with disabilities and other marginalised children.
In Zenica, fewer children attend some kind of informal education, because most of these programs are charging. Of the neary 8000 children from 0 to 6, only 700 is going to kindergarden. The lowest coverage of children are these from villages and children with disabilities. The main reason for this is inability of parents to pay stay in kindergarden, as insufficient adjustment of institutions. By establishing Center, children will have more opportunity to socialize, develop different skills
By establishing and furnishing Center, children in Zenica will have safe and stimulative surrounding for learning. By organising everyday programs according to topics and and age, children will spend their free time in a quality way, learn and develop new skills. By including volunteers, young people will have an opportunity to apply theoretical knowlegdes and acquire practical skills.
Project will include 6 young volunteers who will prepare and realize activites with children, and in that way insure practice. Establishing this Center will be long term for children who don't have an opportunity for informal education. Recognizing possitive outcomes of children's eary inclusion, Center will have long term impact on their development. Also, Center will continue to work in coming period, when there will be raised new funds.
