Children with special needs in India often face significant challenges in accessing classroom education, experiencing isolation and exclusion from their peers in many schools. Many schools do not entertain admission to such children. This profoundly affects their development, psychological well-being, personality development, and future opportunities. It is a touch situation both to the children and their parents.
In response to this critical issue, we established the Siva Saraswati Vidyalaya Higher Secondary School, an inclusive institution dedicated to providing quality education for rural, economically disadvantaged children with physical disabilities. Our school fosters a supportive learning environment where these children can thrive alongside their peers. WOur school provides the rarest of rare opportunities for such children to mingle along with regular students, who get the opportunity to undersstand the conditions of the special children whereby they learn to mingle with amity and a sense of gratitude. What began in 1981 as a modest school under a thatched roof with just a handful of students has since grown significantly, now offering education up to the higher secondary level with a current enrollment of 670 students.
