ASIREA ids an association made up of farmers who protect forests or do reforestation on their farms. Every year we have our assembly to discuss our projects and inform about our successes, our failures, what we´ve learned as a group and how to improve our work
This year was definitely a turn point with farmers rallying around the organization to strengthen and clarify our goals. This year we have worked very hard harvesting some of the plantations and although we have been super successful in efficiency and garanteeing income for the families- we sigh to see prices so low that people are not even repaying their inicial investment. We do not want people to stop their conservations efforts because of this, but we have to be realistic based on the poverty of our region.
In our assembly we talked about our wood drying project and it was enthusiastically recieved by everyone. We hope that this GLOBAL GIVING END OF THE YEAR CAMPAIGN can help us advance towards our goal. We think that success here, will spark interest in many other people in the country and other places on out planet.
We thank you for reading through this short report.
We are giving this campaign our best efforts! Please unite with us to change the world...one step at a time. Here and now.
