ASIREA continues to search for alternatives in wood product development.
The great news is that we have sold out all the wood we had dried in a rented kiln this week!
But, we noticed that local furniture makers tend to buy the cheapest wood available-even if it is not dry. This means we have to walk a mile further ...and make the value added wood products with our own design and marketing.
So, we had a really important meeting with three experts on wood and wood product sales, as we are searching for THE WOOD PRODUCT that we can sell, and make the trees planted by local farmers be able to sell for a better price.
The conclusion was that ONLY by drying the wood to make other products will we advance at all- and that our products should be innovative in the market- as there is already a lot of competition with furniture.
So, now we are researching different wood items and will soon do a market study among people from 22 to 40 years to pick the most popular and develop prototypes. So; our goal is to dry the wood, produce and market popular products!
Yes, it sounds complicated, and believe us: it is! But this is our path towards innovating for environmental sustainability. Thanks for hanging in with us! We will keep you posted!
