Empower 10,000 Victims of Violence in Cameroon.

Climate change has untold negative impacts on agriculture and food security, affecting the poor rural masses and smallholder productivity to a high degree. To fight the adverse effects of climate change in Kumbo, I.A.A designed a project to address high rate of deforestation and unsustainable agriculture practices by fostering community engagement of smallholder farmers and peasant women in reforestation. Through community outreach, farmers have been trained on agroforestry practices, climate-smart agriculture, sustainable bee keeping, horticulture and vegetables gardening to achieve food security and economic growth and climate resilience. I.A.A has accomplished the following milestones as of June 30th, 2023:

• 95 women trained on regenerative agriculture.
• 82 smallholder farmers trained on bio-fertilizer production
• 65 women trained on agroforestry techniques
• 112 parents, youths and children tree nursery, importance of trees and indigenous forest resources
• 2 tree nurseries established with 2000 trees each.
• 375kgs of bio-fertilizer produced during training.
• 354 people in total were directly reached; 177 women, 102 youths and 75 men.
