FELICITATION CEREMONIES
Each year girls from IIMPACT Learning Centres appear for grade 5 local Government Board Exams before graduating from IIMPACT and moving on to local secondary schools.
A record number of 762 girls appeared for the exams this year - each girl achieved outstanding results. These girls have made us all very proud as they have worked very hard under very harsh living conditions. They now look forward to using the knowledge and skills acquired at IIMPACT Learning Centres as they move on in life. These are all girls who had previously never thought that they would benefit from education until IIMPACT came into their lives
Two felicitation ceremonies were recently held to celebrate and honor these young girls – one at Mehmoodabad in the state of Uttar Pradesh, the other at Alwar in Rajasthan (our graduates belong to these states).
A brief report recently received from our team along with some lovely photographs are given below so that you can all share in the joy and jubilation experienced by these girls.
Come celebrate with us …….

A REPORT
Mehmoodabad (5th September 2011)
A felicitation ceremony was held at Mehmoodabad on 5th September 2011 – this day happened to coincide with Teachers Day. Anil Tandon (former President-IIMPACT), our supporters Manju Mithal of Kamal Agarwal Foundation, Joyatri Ray of ING Vysya Foundation, a number of representatives from ING Life and two representatives from the local Titan office were present on the occasion. It was a wonderful experience for all. First, the girls came on the stage and collected their certificates, they were then given a school bag each courtesy ING Vysya Foundation and a watch courtesy Titan Industries. The teachers were also given a gift each as a token of appreciation. All 120 teachers present were on stage at the same time. All those present shared in the celebrations as the IIMPACT members thanked the community for their overall support to IIMPACT.
Alwar (25th September 2011)
The proud village community of Tispur in Alwar organised a function to celebrated the academic performance of the IIMPACT achievers. The excitement in the air was palpable - everyone came together to applaud the children who performed brilliantly in the Class 5 Exams this year. The girls were delighted to receive the certificates and the watches courtesy Titan Industries. The day's experience and exposure was highly motivating for each one of them. They are now even more charged and enthusiastic about continuing with their education. Mr. Krishan Dhawan-IIMPACT’s President, Mrs Safiya - Zila Pramukh and local Panchayat members were all present at this function.
