HELP EDUCATE 750 GIRLS IN RURAL INDIA

Dear Friends,

IIMPACT currently runs 926 learning centers with over 32,000 girls. We continue to see the fruits of the efforts made over the previous years with your generous continued support. We sincerely thank you on behalf of our Board, staff, girls enrolled in the learning centres and the community that we serve.

The attached report is focussed on the Training Workshops conducted at our project sites, the emphasis this time round was on training the trainers.

We take pride in mentioning that a large number of our supporters took time out to visit their respective sponsored learning centres across our project locations over the last few months.

Our young interns, Ananya, Avi and Anvay have also been associated with IIMPACT and have been working with utmost passion and dedication.  All of them in the age group of 12 to 14.

Young Mirai Patel has been associated with IIMPACT for the last 5 years.  It was Mirai who galvanized students while in Grade 4 in Junior School in San Diego to raise funds and  support an IIMPACT Learning Centre. Their sponsored Learning Centre, 'Diegueño Daughters', has now been up and running since Mirai was in 4th grade!

Mirai’s support has grown with each passing year.  Now in class 9 at Pacific Ridge School in the U.S., Mirai continues to inspire her peers.  She has founded an organization of her own -   “A Million Knots” and has raised funds to sponsor an additional IIMPACT Learning Centre!

” In A Million Knots, we make and sell bracelets to raise funds to sponsor a school in India. When I was in 8th grade, during Pacific Ridge School Fall Fest, we were able to sell almost all of the bracelets my school friends and I had made. We raised almost $600! I then raised another $1,100 for the cause at a community tennis event in Orange County with the help of my cousin Akshay Patel So now we have over $4000 needed to fund the school for at least two years. I am thankful that I have friends who have supported me along the way and parents who support and inspire me to give back” says Mirai.

We at IIMPACT applaud Mirai’s highly commendable efforts and achievements. It is truly inspiring to see an increasing number of youngsters take up IIMPACT's cause with great passion.
