Hello, hello!
We're very excited to share with you photos from the opening of the Special Education school in Eskisehir. Prior to the build, no one ever thought to build an elevator in the school. But just after opening, the problem arose. Students were being carried from one floor to the next because there was no other way to get to class. The school reached out to TPF and our donors responded! With the help of GlobalGiving, we were able to raise enough funds to build this elevator. The students are now able to have stress-free days, not worrying about how to get to their next class!
Wondering the background on Autism in Turkey? Read a blog written by an expert in the field here: https://www.tpfund.org/blog/2013/03/lets-talk-about-autism-in-turkey/. The funds were split between building the elevator and providing free education to children with Autism.
The funds live on! Through each gift a child learned something new, a student benefitted. We thank you immensely for the choice you made to support this cause. Please check back to our GlobalGiving site periodically for new projects! If you would like to join our newsletter, click here.
All the best,
Melis
