Project Report: Hygiene Project for Children in La Gonâve

In February 2025, our team organized a personal hygiene awareness session for five children in the community of La Gonâve. The activity helped them learn, in a fun and practical way, how to wash their hands properly, keep their bodies clean, and prevent common hygiene-related diseases. Although only a few children participated, this first step marked the beginning of an important effort to improve hygiene practices in the community.
The main challenge we faced was the lack of resources, which limited the number of participants. However, the children’s enthusiasm and the positive feedback from parents encouraged us to continue. Families expressed their appreciation and highlighted the need for more education and awareness activities around hygiene and health.
In the next phase, our team is preparing the distribution of hygiene kits for 100 children, along with training sessions on hygiene and nutrition, and a hot meal distribution to promote children’s health and engagement.
