The project aims to provide comprehensive hygiene kits to children of La Gonave,an island in Haiti often affected by poverty and precarious sanitary conditions.Each kit will include essential items such as soap,shampoo,toothbrushes,toothpaste,sanitary pads(for girls),and information on the importance of personal hygiene.The direct beneficiaries of this project are 500 children aged 6 to 12 years old residing on the island of La Gonave.
This initiative addresses an urgent need for basic hygiene,particularly for children living inprecarious conditions.To meet the needs of displaced children from the metropolitan area occupied by gangs who are settling in La Gonave.
Provide hygiene kits containing essential items to help maintain good personal hygiene. Decrease infections and illnesses caused by poor hygiene. Educate children and their families about the importance of hygiene and cleanliness for better health.
Improved hygiene practices among children will lead to a significant reduction in the spread of infectious diseases such as diarrheal diseases,respiratory infections, and skin conditions. Consistent use of hygiene products can strengthen children's immune systems,making them less susceptible to illnesses. Healthy children who are less frequently ill can better absorb and utilize nutrients from their diet,leading to improved growth and development.
