Barbuda is a small, fragile island, and its homes face real danger every storm season. Hurricane-rated shutters are one of the most effective ways to keep families safe and to protect the homes they have worked hard to build and rebuild. For a community that knows firsthand what a major storm can take, this is not a luxury. It is a necessity.
BarbudanGO launched this campaign to help secure homes across Barbuda with storm shutters, so that fewer families are left exposed when the next hurricane comes.
Where we stand
We have not yet reached our original fundraising goal. But the need has not gone away, and neither has our commitment. BarbudanGO will continue this campaign until we have secured the funding to protect the households that still need it.
