Cyclones Idai and Kenneth have left a trail of devastation in southern Africa. At intervals of just a few weeks, the cyclones in Mozambique have caused destruction and severe flooding. Above all, the cyclone hit the poorest of the poor.
Helpers of our members organizations are on site. They provide the children, women and men with fresh drinking water, food, blankets and medicines. In addition, they distribute tents to the homeless people. They help with the clean-up and reconstruction. Hygiene packages prevent diseases like cholera from spreading further.
Our member organization World Vision has distributed food to the people of Metuchira. On April 6, 2019, 2000 families received 6Kg rice, 1Kg beans, 1L oil per person as a ration for the next 15 days, and in the following days 4,000 - 6,000 additional families are to be cared for.
Thanks to your donation, the people of Mozambique have something to eat. Thank you very much for your support.
