Today I am reaching you kindly to inform you that on the ground teams response on the flooding across Sukabumi, Bogor and Banten regions.
The funds that we have received to response on the the flashflood that occured late year 2020 and early year 2021. The program that we have delivered for the community was the Humanity food truck program for the flood survivors of Ciemas Sukabumi and other regions. The location has been flooded for days and ACT's program has been implemented for the first time in this area and for the first time the residents have received assistance in the form of free food aid.
The community rarely receive the assistance because their location is very remote that is difficult to reach the location. The beneficiaries are very grateful to the donors who provided assistance during the natural disasters occured in Indonesia. The survivors have been living in the uncertain time due of the Covid-19 and most of them are unemployed due to laid off from the work-place, etc.
There was an elderly called Marsitoh who is 80 years old and expressed her emotional feeling on the aid assisatance that so meaningful for her. She was not the one who expressed their feelings on the aid distribution. Thanks a lot to GlobalGiving donors who always with Indonesian coomunity at any circumstances.

It has been challenging year for everyone across the globe, and we wish the spread of Covid-19 could be end as soon as possible.
ACT Foundation as humanitarian assistance in Indonesia must not stop the mission to act on helping for vulnerable families in all over Indonesian provinces.
It was the flood in North Luwu, since August 3, ACT has deployed one of its Humanity Food Truck. As of September 9, a total of 20,400 meal packages have been distributed to the flood victims as volunteers on duty.
Humanity Food Truck Coordinator Ryan Andriana reported on Wednesday (9/9) that the Humanity Food Truck is capable of serving up to a thousand meal packages per day. "We produce the meal packages in North Luwu based on the amount of the flood victims, the local residents, and the volunteers. Each meal package consists of rice, side dishes and vegetables,” said Ryan.
Last Monday (9/7), the Humanity Food Truck distributed meal packages in Baliase Village, Masamba District, North Luwu. A total of 600 meal packages were distributed to the camps of Kampal, Masamba, Baliase, Lombok, Mappadeceng, Lontang, Pontaden, Fire Brigade, Inkor and Baebunta Market. The meal packages were funded by the generosity of the community.
Ryan added, ACT’s Humanity Food Trucks are always ready to be deployed to distribute meal packages. With a team of volunteers and complete cooking equipment, Humanity Food Truck can serve up to a maximum of two thousand servings a day. "All parties can participate to give charity through Humanity Food Truck by donating through the Indonesia Dermawan website," said Ryan.
To date, ACT has four units of Humanity Food Trucks, three units are available at the Wakaf Distribution Center, Bogor, while one unit is currently in North Luwu and will be stationed at ACT South Sulawesi Branch Office in Makassar.
Many of the locals’ houses are still trapped in mud that was left after the flood in July. At that time, the locals’ houses were buried, leaving only their roofs visible. Many of the locals’ properties were unable to be salvaged.
Aksi Cepat Tanggap (ACT) team reported, many of the locals are still staying in the evacuation sites. They have been staying in tents for two months. They still depend on assistance for food. Most of them thanks to GlobalGiving donors who always support Indonesian community at any circumstances.

Across the globe still face the Covid-19 and everyone have the experience how is the situation around the neighbourhood have been occured since early 2020.
Since the pandemic Covid-19 face Indonesia in the early March, 2020, the numbers of new unemployment numbers are raising significantly and put the number of poverty and hunger are inreased dramatically. The humnatarian mission should continue to address the situation and it is part of the way to help the government. As of today, August 31st, 2020 there are 172K positive, recovered 124K, and deaths 7,343 people in Indonesia. It is belived that in Indonesia the number of positive will keep raise up because the vaccine has not been invented yet.
One of ACT Foundation program since the Covid-19 face in Indonesia is deliver the cooked meals to serve the community from hunger and poverty. It was late May 2020, the implementation of cooked meals for the needy delivered in Cipinang -East Jakarta and Tomang, West Jakarta. The hot meals delivered to the people, who couldn’t afford their daily life, while most of them are irregular daily workers. This pandemic has worsened their life because they have got no income.

It is about 500 beneficiaries who received the aid and we will keep continue the mission to support unfortunate families who really in need especially at this uncertain time.
Humanity Truck equipped with kitchen, making it the mobile public kitchen which able to deliver free meals up to 1,000 portion per day. The meals are cooked for the less fortunate people in Indonesia who are affected by disasters or economic crisis. Led by professional chef, this truck can provide healthy and delicious meal for the needy. The Humanity truck deliver the cooked meals during the emergency response and also on daily activities to provide free meals for the poor in Indonesia.

I would like to inform you that ACT team has been distributed cooked meals in Tasikmalaya, West Java, Indonesia.
Hundreds of residents of the City of Tasikmalaya were happy to receive nutritious food from the Humanity Food Truck, Sunday (11/24). As many as 500 prepared meal packages were distributed to residents around the Grand Mosque of Tasikmalaya City.
Muhamad Fauzi Ridwan from the ACT Tasikmalaya Program Team said that the targets of the Humanity Food Truck were poor people such as homeless children, scavengers, parking attendants, janitors, and pedicab drivers. "This program is an implementation of the zakat fund. It must be delivered to rightful beneficiaries," he said.
ACT Tasikmalaya Branch Manager Taufik Perdana hoped that the Humanity Food Truck in Tasikmalaya can provide happiness to beneficiaries and donors. "Humanity Food Truck provides an opportunity for donors to share happiness and giving an example that can be followed by others in order to spread kindness," said Taufik.
The residents were very grateful for the meal distribution. "Thank you. Alhamdulillah for the free lunch. It so happened that today I haven’t got any passenger yet today. Without money, I can’t buy any lunch. I will never forget this, thank you, ACT," said Deni (66), a pedicab driver.
