Site Clearing: Phase II

For us at CSAID, the joyous part of fundraising on GlobalGiving platform is letting donors know how their donations are making impacts on the ground. The idea of erecting housing unit(s) to provide urban accommodation for rural students seeking to overcome the challenge of limited access to secondary schools in their communities was only a desire until it landed on GlobalGiving, where, it has since been taking shape as a realizable dream through the selfless supports of you, our donors.

As you may record, in our last report, it was echoed that through your generous support, we have surveyed and purchased half-acre of land which our team was ridding of giant-sized trees that were making construction almost impossible.

Today, it feels great to inform you that our team has completed the first site clearing. All those structures that were once serving as obstacles to construction works have been temporarily laid to rest as we plan on replanting trees to replenish the environment upon the completion of erecting the housing facilities. At the moment, we have begun the second phase of site clearing. This is inclusive of de-stumping, hooking grass and or manually leveling the surface of the ground to make it flatter and more feasible for construction activities. We will continue this throughout the ongoing rainy season in Liberia.

Between October and November this year, we a hoping to start experiencing sunshine in the Country. By this time, we will begin the molding of bricks to effectuate direct construction work for our first housing unit. This is just the whisper of a beautiful plan that can only be executed in the face of the needed support.

Notwithstanding, of the many projects on GlobalGiving, we remain humbled and grateful for directing your donations to our project. With your generosity, our team is more than ever energized and optimistic that together with your support, we can achieve this dream.

With every dime and nickel including your prayers, we hope that you and your network will continue to stand with us until we reach the finishing line.

Thanks so kindly for your current and potential donations to this project.
