Girls Hostel Building 1
Considerable progress has been made since our last report in July 2016. Construction work is brick and the Hostel should be ready for inauguration on Jan 22nd 2017.
The Hostel will help lots of differently abled girls to live comfortably in the premises.
We are still short of around $ 8,000 to reach our goal of $ 35,000.We ask for your continued generosity.
Attached is the invitation to the inaugural function as well as few photos of our children undergoing various therapies.
Thank you again for making the future of our children brighter and better.
Please also check the photographs and the link to this institiution to get a better understanding of what is currently being done at the institute to improve the lifestyle of differently able children.

Progress Report # 7
By B.R. Ramaprasad | Project Leader
Due to adverse weather conditions and labor challenges progress since July 2016 has been slow. However, internal electrical, plumbing work and more have started. Application for power supply has been submitted and approval expected soon. Barring any unforeseen circumstances outside our control we expect that the building will be inaugurated in Jan 2017. The State Government of Karnataka has taken keen interest in our cause and has actively used our facilities to train their social workers in the field of child disability. Multi-national corporations have also recognized the work that is being done and have started supporting us under their Corporate Social Responsibilities obligations.

Since our last progress report in April 2016, we have made further progress. Plastering, plumbing and electrical work have been completed. Flooring, external electrical and tiles work will be completed by end of August. The project is now expected to be complete by end of September and the official inauguration of the building will follow. The latest photos of the progress are attached.
As the project is almost coming to a successful close we have nothing but deep gratitude for your support. The following extract from preface to the book "Idea of Justice" by the nobel laureate Dr. Amartya Sen seem appropriate.
---‘In the little world in which children have their existence’, says Pip in Charles Dicken’s Great Expectations, ‘there is nothing so finely perceived and finely felt, as injustice. I expect Pip is right; he vividly recollects after his humiliating encounter with Estella the ‘capricious and violent coercion’ he suffered as a child at the hands of his own sister. But the strong perception of manifest injustice applies to adult human beings as well. What moves us, reasonably enough is not the realization that the world falls short of being completely just-which few of us expect-but there are clearly remediable injustices around us which we want to eliminate.---
We cannot thank you enough.
