This project aims at funding one full year of stay in a house with secret address for one woman who has escaped from home abuse and wants to start a new life. Starting a new life means learning to be independent, both psychologically and economically. CADMI support abused women making available houses with secret address, where they can regain dignity and freedom.
Since 1986 CADMI has taken care of more than 26,000 abused women and managed more than 600 hospitality projects in secret houses. On average an hospitality project has a duration of 6 months, but the economic crisis has reduced employment opportunities in Italy, particularly for women. Therefore stays have become longer.
Another woman who has come to CADMI looking for help and support will get the opportunity to definitely cut with her past life, get away from a risky relationship, have time to reason out about herself and her history on her own and with our professionals, work on her selfesteem, understand what her real wishes are and how strong she is to struggle for them
On top of having a real positive impact on the life of the women we are supporting, this will be one more example to be shared with women letting them know that there is always an opportunity for them to back out of violence.
