HOPE Emergency Response Team is acting after the recent torrential monsoon rains across South Asia, including Cox's Bazaar, home to almost one million Rohingya refugees in Bangladesh and 2 million local Bangladeshi.
Flood Relief in South Asia. Recent torrential monsoon rains across South Asia, including in Cox's Bazaar, home to almost one million Rohingya refugees and 2 million locals in Bangladesh. In the midst of monsoon season, these voulnerable community remain in high risk to mudslides and even worse flooding. It has been already reported that over 400 of these makeshift homes were destroyed by the floods, leaving over 3,000 refugees displaced again.
HOPE Foundation deploys Emergency Response teams in the affected areas to provide essential medical care plus distribution of essential needed items, such as; clean water, dry food, medicines, etc. These teams are also prepared to evacuate any patient in need of higher medical services, like a Hospital referral for a mother in labor.
