In rural Uganda, many elderly people are living in fragile, unsafe shelters—some with leaking roofs, collapsing walls, and little protection from harsh weather.
After a lifetime of hard work raising families and building communities, many now face old age without the care, comfort, and dignity they deserve. With limited income and support, improving their living conditions is often impossible.
Through this GlobalGiving project, Development Alert is working to change that reality by building 100 safe and permanent homes for elderly and vulnerable individuals.
