Emma is 8 years old and came from a rural area, three hours away from the capital of Chile, to be treated for cancer for the second time. She came to the Fundación Nuestros Hijos' Casa de Acogida in order to be close to the Exequiel González Hospital where she is undergoing cancer treatment. Here she has many friends, and feels at home because of the love she receives and because she had already been here before, when she was diagnosed for the first time, at the age of 5 years old. For Emma, as well as for all the children who are in Casa de Acogida, it is essential to have the foster care support provided by Fundación Nuestros Hijos, otherwise, many of them might have to abandon the treatment, as it happened before the existence of this Foundation and the children died at home.
Thank you for helping Emma and so many other children to continue having a home where they can continue their cancer treatment.
