SHAKTI Organisation has been working on the issues of elderly people for the last fourteen years. The last quarter was full of fun and enjoyment.
We celebrated Pongal (harvesting festival of Telugu people), Republic day in our home with great fun and fare. Minister of Women and child development, Mission Shakti of state Mrs. Tukuni Sahu , Dist. Collector Mr Pramod Behera , Superintendent of Police, Commandant of CRPF 4th Battalion and many dignitaries visited our home on this day.
We have always tried to give happiness to them by doing different activities. One dental check-up camp and 12 weekly health check-up camps were organized. In this quarter, we lost 2no’s of our beloved inmates.
As we have fixed personal cupboards, tiles on the walls and floors and also fixed one electric Geyser of 20 liter for hot water bathing of our inmates. They are very happy with this.
As we have not received any donation for this quarter, but we are still trying to mobilise funds from other sources.
Gratification: We are very much thankful to the donors who have supported the causes of our Senior Citizen inmates and expecting their support and blessings in the coming days.
