SHAKTI Organisation has been working on the issues of elderly people for the last twelve years. The last quarter was enjoyable. Festivals like Raja (Odia community), Rathyatra (Cart festival of Lord Jaganath) enjoyed with great fun by the inmates of senior citizens Home.
As we always tried to give happiness to them we do different activities. We celebrated Mother’s Day, Father’s Day and Birthday at our campus.12 weekly health check-up camps were organized. Eye camps were also organized in which more 2 no of inmates had cataract operation and distributed spectacles.
In the month of July, we lost one of our beloved inmate named K.Savitri of age 72.who was staying in our home since last six years.
With the support of generous donation through the GlobalGiving platform, we are fixing individual cupboards for the inmate’s utility. This will help them to keep their things separately with locks. They are feeling very happy.
Gratification: We are very much thankful to the donors who have supported the causes of our Senior Citizen inmates and expecting their support and blessings in the coming days.
