The vision of SACH is blooming! We have started renovations by opening up the walls among our three suites to allow for a connected layout. The layout makes for a welcoming and friendly environment for all colleagues. Everyone can engage with each other and work together to take India Home’s mission forward.
We’ve had growing attendance at our weekly senior center program at SACH and a number of engaging events. Our Mother’s Day celebration had 130 attendees. A lot of Older adults loved performing at our Mother’s Day celebration. We had various performances like singing, dancing, and other cultural arts.
We established our 3D Care (Desi Dementia Day Care) program with a few of our older adults. This is a special program to help Seniors who have been diagnosed with low to moderate dementia, and provide supportive services to their family members. There are a small number of dementia care programs tailored to meet the needs of South Asian elders, hence, India Home is starting 3D Care to meet those needs. Some activities we started are sensory stimulation, memory based games, storytelling, yoga, and mental health activities.
We appreciate your continuous support as we take SACH to new heights!
