Q2 2026 Water Filter Distribution Report
During the second quarter of 2026, Uganda Water Project continued preparing and delivering household water filters to help families access safer drinking water.
This quarter, 200 water filters were sent directly to Uganda, while another 1,000 filters were assembled by volunteers at local organizations in the United States. Volunteer assembly efforts included the United Way Day of Caring, bringing community members together to support clean water access in Uganda.
The 1,000 volunteer-assembled filters are currently in transit to Kampala, where they will be prepared for distribution to families.
Each filter is generally attributed to one household. Using an estimated household size of five people, the 1,200 filters are expected to positively impact approximately 6,000 Ugandans once distributed.
Water filters complement our larger water infrastructure projects by providing families with an additional way to improve the quality of the water they drink at home. We are grateful to the volunteers, partners, and supporters who helped prepare these filters and move them closer to the families who will use them.
