Help our young people celebrate the holiday season! Each year, Roca provides holiday gifts for our young people and their children so to ensure that each family feels valued and loved. Additionally, we provide turkey's to the a select few young people in the greatest need for Thanksgiving. It is a great way to build community and help transform lives!
At Roca, we serve the highest Risk young people. Working with young justice system involved young men ages 17-24 and young mothers ages 16-24, Roca seeks to break the cycle of incarceration and poverty affecting these young people and inhibiting change.
At Roca we know that our young people must feel supported and safe with our staff in order to make the changes they need to in their own lives. Holiday gifts are one of the tools we use to build and maintain these relationships. Ensuring that our young people know their families and themselves are thought of during the holiday season encourages young people to get and stay involved and to change their lives.
The long term benefits engagement with Roca is a decrease in teen pregnancy and incarceration of young people. This occurs through a process of connection to the community, increased educational attainment, and long term employment.
